Public Safety Advisory: AARC Thefts

Public Safety would like to advise the University of St. Thomas community of several thefts that have occurred in Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex.

Between May 14 and May 21, three UST students reported having property stolen while utilizing the facilities. Each incident occurred during late afternoon hours. Stolen items have included a phone, cash and laptops. In each case, property was either left unattended, or placed in an unsecured locker.

Public Safety is actively investigating these incidents in attempt to identify a possible suspect or suspects.

Community members using AARC are encouraged to secure their valuables in a locker with a lock. As the summer season begins, we would like to remind everyone to contact Public Safety immediately if you observe suspicious persons or activity on campus.

For more information, see Public Safety’s May 23 Advisory. Other recent alerts, advisories and bulletins, as well as crime prevention and safety tips, also are posted on the St. Thomas Public Safety website.
