Air Pollution Health Advisory Issued

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued an air pollution health advisory effective Friday, March 8, until midday Saturday, March 9, for the southern two-thirds of Minnesota, including the Twin Cities area.

Air quality monitors indicate that early-morning fog, high pressure and light winds early Friday will cause fine particle pollution to be near levels considered unhealthy for individuals who have cardiovascular or respiratory disease or participate in activities with heavy exertion.
