Faculty Offer ‘Flipped Classrooms’ – An Idea They Learned in the Open Classroom Project

By visiting each other’s classrooms, faculty have learned new techniques, including the "flipped classroom" in which students watch lecture videos before class and spend class time more engaged with the material.

Thinking Outside the Huddle

In the midst of Tommie Football's quest for the NCAA Division III national title, four of the players vied for the prestigious Hult Prize, a social entrepreneurship competition with $1 million in seed money on the line. The team won the St. Thomas competition and competed in the global regional competition in March in San Francisco.

New Maker Space Slated for Anderson Student Center

Thanks to a collaboration between the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship and the Division of Student Affairs, St. Thomas will have its first maker space for students who are interested in creating things, either for their own personal enrichment or for potential future business opportunities.
