Heidi Bausch, MA, doctoral candidate in counseling psychology in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology, was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year Award by the Minnesota Psychological Association (MPA).

To further efforts related the Action Plan to Combat Racism, the Center for Faculty Development has appointed two faculty members to serve as Faculty Fellows for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the 2019-20 academic year.
The University of St. Thomas School of Law is the top U.S. law school for new downloads per author over the past 12 months within the Social Science Research Network (SSRN) online academic database. The ranking, released in April, provides further confirmation of the School of Law’s increasing scholarly impact.
Two students from the College of Arts and Sciences were selected as recipients of the Goldwater Scholarship this year. Maria Neuzil ’20 (physics and mathematics) and Jack Queenan ’21 (chemistry and mathematics) were selected out of a competitive national pool of student scholars for these awards.
Upon the recommendation of Father Joseph Taphorn, rector and vice president of The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity, and with the approval of Most Reverend Bernard Hebda, archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, St. Thomas President Julie Sullivan has appointed Christopher Thompson, PhD, as dean of The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity. Thompson will begin his second term as Dean on July 1.
