The Health Professions Advisory Committee and the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences will host the third Dinner with a Health Professional Alum from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17.
Dr. Niels Sorensen ’70, a surgeon and CAS Advisory Board member, will speak about his path to becoming a physician and what it’s like to be a surgeon. He established a scholarship in 2006 for pre-medical students and is helping to create a mentorship program for students in the health professions.
Registration is limited; preference will be given to students who are interested in a career in medicine and who previously have not attended a Dinner with a Health Professional Alum. To apply, e-mail Dr. Roxanne Prichard, (651) 962-5043, indicating your class year, major, and a short statement about why you are interested in attending.
