Donate clothes to people in need over the holidays
The Luann Dummer Center for Women is sponsoring a collection of new socks, mittens, gloves, hats, scarves and undergarments of all sizes to share with the guests of the Listening House.
The Listening House is a St. Paul drop-in center that provides hospitality and practical assistance to people who are homeless, disadvantaged or lonely. It is located on Ninth Street West, just around the corner from the Dorothy Day Center and a couple of blocks from the Xcel Energy Center.
Bring your donations to the Luann Dummer Center for Women in Room 103, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
You can also send items to the center at University of St. Thomas, Mail #4075, by Monday, Dec. 12.
Your donations will be shared with Listening House guests during the holidays.
The Listening House welcomes women, men, youth and children who seek friendship, daytime shelter, support for moving through transitions, assistance in finding resources and help in struggling with illness or addiction. Its door is open to everyone. The only requirement is that respect and safety is maintained.
