The working poor, marginally housed and homeless of the east metro area need your help.

For the third year, St. Thomas will support the annual Caring Hearts for Homeless People supply drive to be held Sunday, Feb. 13, through Monday, Feb. 28. Medications without alcohol and personal hygiene supplies are needed. The items will be delivered to St. Joseph Hospital on Tuesday, Feb. 29.

Travel-size and trial-size medical and personal-hygiene items are perfect. Deodorant, soap, toothpaste, and cold medications without alcohol are very much needed at this time. Baby care items in these sizes also are welcome.

Collection boxes will be located:

On the St. Paul campus:

  • Dean of Student Life office
  • Volunteer Center
  • Health Services
  • Residence Life Office

On the Minneapolis campus:

  • Work-Life Center, Room 110
  • Central Administration office, Room 201

Healtheast and Ramsey Medical Society and Alliance are the sponsors of the Caring Hearts project.
