“9 to 5: Not So Docile — International Women Workers” is the topic of the next Feminist Fridays presentation from 12:15 to 1 p.m. Nov. 19, in the Luann Dummer Center for Women, Room 103, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center.

Is everything business-as-usual for women workers around the world?

Dr. Susan Alexander, Economics Department, will discuss the lack of international rules concerning labor conditions, particularly the World Trade Organization’s attempt to agree to a minimum standard. Dr. Seehwa Cho, School of Education, will present research findings on South Korean women workers’ labor activism from 1970 to 1985.

The theme for this year’s Feminist Fridays series is “Women Making a Difference,” and the focus of the series is on women around the globe.

All are welcome. Feel free to bring your bag lunch.
