The Faith and Work Breakfast, designed for professionals from all faiths, will be held at 7 a.m. Thursday, April 24, in St. Olaf’s Fleming Hall, 215 S. Eighth St.
The breakfast talks, now in their ninth year, are co-sponsored by St. Olaf and the John A. Ryan Institute for Catholic Social Thought at the University of St. Thomas.
The series deals with the personal challenges of faith-and-work integration. In his talk, “The Leader’s Search for Calling,” McGuire will talk about leaders discovering their calling and working from their gifts, limitations, truths and values. McGuire was a newspaper editor for more than 25 years; he now writes books and a syndicated column on work and spirituality.
The cost of the Faith and Work Breakfast is $15, which includes a continental breakfast that is served at 7 a.m. The talk runs from 7:25 to 8:15 a.m.; after a short break, a question-and-answer period is held until 9 a.m.
Pre-registration is encouraged. To make a reservation or for more information, call St. Olaf Catholic Church at (612) 332-7471. Information also is available on the Web at
