Justice Lecture to be presented on World Social Work Day, March 16

Father Michael Boland, administrator, president and CEO of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, will deliver the School of Social Work Justice Lecture on World Social Work Day, Tuesday, March 16.

His talk, “Honor Your Father and Mother: The Devastating Effects of Poverty on Seniors,” is free and open to the public, and will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Jeanne d’Arc Auditorium at St. Catherine University, St. Paul campus. A reception will follow the lecture.

Boland oversees the work of one of the largest private, nonprofit social service agencies in the United States, and is responsible for archdiocesan nursing homes, hospitals and the Office for Persons with Disabilities. He serves on several national and international boards, writes monthly newspaper and magazine columns, and hosts a weekly radio program in Chicago.
