The UST Media Resources Collection is offering a new subscription of Ambrose Video, a database of electronic videos. One hundred full-length titles are available to be used in the classroom or for individual viewing via a Web browser. The films can be accessed on or off campus (off-campus users will need to log in with their UST username and password) via a broadband, high-speed Internet connection – i.e., cable modem or DSL.
The subject areas covered in this database are: American history, American literature, art history, theology, sciences and all the BBC Shakespeare plays. It is available via the Media Resources Collection, from the library’s A-Z Databases list or directly from Ambrose Video.
For more information contact Cindy Badilla-Melendez, UST media resources librarian, (651) 962-5464.

Comments requested on research database trials especially this month
March is research database trials month. Several database trials will appear throughout the month on the UST Libraries website.
The first trial will be African-American Periodicals 1825-1995, which features more than 170 periodicals by and about African Americans. The publications include academic and political journals, commercial magazines, institutional newsletters, organizations’ bulletins, annual reports and other genres. Give this database a try and let UST Libraries know what you think.
Send comments to Ann Kenne. The trial ends on Sunday, April 1.
