Margaret Cahill named director of Campus Life

Margaret Cahill will be the new director of Campus Life at the University of St. Thomas, it was announced by Mary Ann Ryan, executive director of Campus and Residence Life.

Cahill begins her work here on Dec. 4. She replaces Cara Goodin, who is leaving St. Thomas to work as associate dean of students at the University of North Dakota, her alma mater. Today is Goodin’s last day at St. Thomas.

Cahill most recently worked as a senior student activities adviser at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where she served as a resource adviser for student clubs and organizations.

Prior to working at the University of Minnesota, Cahill earned her Master of Arts in student affairs leadership from St. Thomas. During that time she worked in the Department of Campus and Residence Life with clubs, organizations and student-leadership initiatives.

“In her role as director of Campus Life, Margaret will co-advise the All College Council, work with clubs and organizations, and provide leadership for programs and activities originating in Campus Life,” Ryan said. “We are delighted to welcome Margaret back to student affairs at the University of St. Thomas.”
