Marriage and family therapy topic of March 4 talk

Dr. Sara Wright, clinical director of the Marriage and Family Therapy Programs at St. Mary's University of Minnesota, will give a free presentation, "What's Up With Marriage and Family Therapy? Now I Get It," at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, in 3M Auditorium of Owens Science Hall on the St. Paul campus of the University of St. Thomas.

Wright's clinical practice has spanned more than 30 years, and she is past president of the Minnesota Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and former secretary of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She earned a Ph.D. in family social science from the University of Minnesota and has published articles on couples and family issues in a variety of professional journals and popular magazines. In 2008 Gov. Tim Pawlenty appointed Wright to a four-year term on the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.

The public is welcome. Light refreshments will follow the talk.
