Celebrating Those With Asian Heritage

The month of May recognizes the historical and cultural contributions of Americans who are of Asian, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander descent. The AANHPI umbrella term includes cultures from the entire Asian continent – including East, Southeast and South Asia – and the Pacific Islands of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia, in addition to Native Hawaiians. The season finale of the 2023-24 Chapel Arts Series will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Minnesota Public Radio's nationally syndicated program, "Pipedreams." The program will honor two titans of that program, host Michael Barone and former University of St. Thomas Music Professor James P. Callahan. Throughout the day, Catholic Rural Life will be hosting a conference on campus, culminating in an evening Mass and dinner. Donations Needed for Borrowing Closet

The OISS borrowing closet provides gently used items for new international students arriving in the fall. Through your donations, new students are able to get necessary items for their time at St. Thomas. OISS will be accepting items until Aug. 23. CEVEA is proud to launch the Adopt a Voter Registration program.
