Payroll Announces Instructions to Non-Exempt Staff for Entering Holidays and Gift Days

The university will be closed from Dec. 23, 2015, through Jan. 3, 2016. Please read the following instructions for completing time sheets for the holidays.

The following days will be paid as holiday pay and will automatically populate on the time sheet:

  • Christmas Eve: Dec. 24, 2015
  • Christmas Day: Dec. 25, 2015
  • New Year’s Eve: Dec. 31, 2015
  • New Year’s Day: Jan. 1, 2016

The following days will be paid as gift days if the employee is regularly scheduled to work. Gift days must be manually entered on the time sheet:

  • Dec. 23, 2015
  • Dec. 28, 2015
  • Dec. 29, 2015
  • Dec. 30, 2015

Regular full-time and part-time employees are eligible to receive gift day pay for the dates listed above if they are regularly scheduled to work.

Who is not eligible the gift day pay?

  • Temporary (if not regularly scheduled to work on the gift days)
  • On-call staff
  • Student employees
