The Health Professions Advisory Committee is sponsoring two informational sessions today, Tuesday, Oct. 11 – for first-year students who are interested in medicine and for all students who are interested in pharmacy careers.
Pre-med
The pre-med informational session will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Room 250, Owens Science Hall.
This "everything you wanted to know about pre-med but were afraid to ask" meeting will cover topics such as academic preparation, standardized admissions tests, getting shadowing and clinical experience, the application process and on- and off-campus resources for students.
Pre-pharm
Shane Bumsted, an admissions counselor from Creighton University, will be on campus at 4 p.m. in Room 250, Owens Science Hall, to answer questions about pharmacy school in an informal Q-and-A session.
