Reception to honor Dr. Nancy Zingale will be held Dec. 12
A reception will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12, for Dr. Nancy Zingale, who will retire Dec. 31 after three decades as a faculty member and administrator at St. Thomas.

The reception will run from 3 to 4:30 p.m., with a program at 3:45 p.m., in the Rogge-Leyden Room, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
Zingale joined the political science faculty in 1976 and served as department chair from 1976 to 1986 and in 1996-1997. In 1988, she became the first woman named Professor of the Year by her faculty colleagues. She moved to the President's Office in 1997 as executive assistant.
In thanking Zingale for her years of service, the Faculty Senate passed a resolution Dec. 5 honoring her as "an exemplary colleague, known for her intellect, professionalism, integrity, fairness, dedication, collegiality and cheerful good humor."
