Please remember in your prayers Command Sergeant Major (Ret.) Louis E. McMillan, father of Ea McMillan Porter, enrollment adviser in the College of Applied Professional Studies, and father-in-law of Louis Porter II, doctoral candidate in Organization Learning and Development.

McMillan, 79, of Tucson, Ariz., died on Tuesday, March 6, after suffering two strokes. McMillan served in the military for 37 years – 12 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and 25 years in the U.S. Army. He completed a tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. McMillan was awarded both the Silver Star and the Bronze Star.

McMillan is survived by his wife, Carmelita, five daughters, two sons-in-law and four granddaughters, who were his shining joy. He will be buried next week in Tucson with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Disabled American Veterans.
