Show your pride and enthusiasm for St. Thomas by becoming an Admissions student ambassador, tour guide or intern for the 2001-2002 school year.

Student ambassadors
Student ambassadors participate in a variety of activities, including leading campus tours at Admissions events, hosting prospective students overnight and taking them to class or lunch. Student ambassadors receive free rugby shirts, work with other active students and learn skills that look great on a résumé.

Tour guides
Tour guides represent the university and share their experiences with prospective students and parents. This includes leading campus tours, answering questions about a variety of topics and serving as an example of a “real” UST student. Tour guides lead from two to three tours per week or work on an on-call basis. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and families from diverse backgrounds. The pay is $10 per tour.

Admissions interns
Admissions interns conduct on-campus visits with prospective students and parents, attend off-campus fairs and make school visits. In addition, interns are responsible for follow-up communication with their prospective students. Since interns work with students and parents, they must be mature, approachable and polished. Interns generally work 20-25 hours per week, including weekdays, Admission events, Saturday mornings and some evening hours. The wage is $6.50 per hour.
