St. Paul campus' quad sidewalk to close this week

The sidewalk west of Murray-Herrick Campus Center linking upper and lower quadrangles on the St. Paul campus will be closed starting Tuesday, Sept. 15, and will remain closed through Friday, Sept. 18. The sidewalk will be closed due to construction on the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex.

Opus Corp. will be putting up the east walls of the complex, and it requires a safety zone to complete this portion of the project.

The sidewalk is expected to be reopen late Friday afternoon. In the meantime, pedestrians may take a detour through Murray-Herrick Campus Center when the building is open or, when it’s closed, use the stairway along the building’s east side or the sidewalk on Cleveland Avenue. Bicyclists are asked to walk their bikes on the stairway or ride along Cleveland Avenue.

The first-floor doors along Murray-Herrick’s west side should be used only as emergency exits this week.
