A performance by hip-hop Grammy winners Naughty by Nature caps the annual Summer Send-Off celebration on Friday, May 5.

But before the trip performs, St. Thomas Activities and Recreation has planned an afternoon of fun and games from 3 to 7 p.m. on the upper quad. Have your caricature drawn, get a temporary tattoo and a numerology reading, and make candles and other creations. Bobby Llama takes the stage at 4 p.m.

Upper quad events are free to UST students.

The festivities move to the lower quad’s Foley Plaza at 6:30 p.m., when opening act S.U.S.P.E.C.T.S. performs. Naughty by Nature begins at 8 p.m.

Security will be tight for the evening concert and only UST students and their guests will be admitted. Concert admission is a wristband, available free to UST students with I.D. at the St. Thomas Box Office. Non-UST students may purchase wristbands for $5 if they’re accompanied by UST students.

The New-Jersey based Naughty by Nature has two platinum albums and numerous gold and platinum singles to its credit. They won a 1992 Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance with a single from their debut album, “O.P.P.,” a 1992 American Music Award for Best Rap Group and another Grammy in 1995 for Best Rap Album (“Poverty’s Paradise”). Their newest album, “19Naughty9,” will be their debut with Arista Records.
