Celebrating Past, Looking to Future Themes of 2020 State of the University Address

News of a $20 million scholarship gift, and the announcement that St. Thomas will adopt a test-optional policy both drew applause at the O’Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium Thursday as President Julie Sullivan delivered the 2020 State of the University address.

With a focus on educational excellence, increasing access and reducing student debt, the University of St. Thomas today announced a goal of infusing $200 million into scholarship support for students over the next eight years, kicking off with a $50 million gift from GHR Foundation.
