The Minnesota State Bar Association's Criminal and Tax Law Sections in collaboration with the University of St. Thomas School of Law will host the presentation "Uncle Al Capone: The Untold Story of Chicago's #1 Gangster from his Niece's Perspective – Legal and Ethical Lessons from the 1931 and 1991 Capone Trials."

The program will take place from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, in the Schulze Grand Atrium at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis.
The program will feature the story of Al Capone's life as Chicago's lead gangster and his run-ins with the legal system from the perspective of his niece, Deirdre Marie Capone. Capone will share her personal experiences as a member of the Capone family.
She will be joined by attorneys Joseph Friedberg and Thomas Bauer, who will dissect the legal and ethical lessons for lawyers using testimony, court transcripts and trial excerpts from Al Capone's 1931 and 1991 trials. Following the program, Capone will be available to answer questions and autograph copies of her book, Uncle Al Capone.
