Undergraduate students must meet deadline to qualify for Minnesota State Grant funding

To be considered for Minnesota State Grant funds, the federal Central Processing System (CPS) must receive your 2006-2007 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than the 30th day of the term start date. St. Thomas’ fall term start date is Sept. 6; thus, your FAFSA must be received by the CPS on or before Thursday, Oct. 5. If your FAFSA is received at the CPS on or after Oct. 6, you will not be eligible to receive a state grant for fall term but may receive state grant funding for subsequent terms of the year.

If you intend to file the FAFSA for this academic year, please submit it immediately to receive consideration for state grant funding, along with federal student aid. You may file the FAFSA after securing a Federal Personal Identification Number (PIN) for yourself and your parent (if applicable).

Please contact the Financial Aid Office with questions or concerns in Suite 100, Foley Theater, or call (651) 962-6550.
