Welcome, chemistry teachers, Steubenville conference teens

Please welcome to campus high school chemistry teachers and Steubenville North Conference teens. They are with external organizations holding conferences here this week.

  • The American Chemical Society hosts high school teachers from across the country to enhance their understanding of the high school text, Chemistry in the Community (also known as ChemCom). Classroom and laboratory workshops are intended to help them gain instructional tips and techniques for student lab investigations and classroom activities. This residential workshop runs from July 27 through Aug. 1. More information is available here.
  • For the eighth year in a row, the University of St. Thomas will host more than 2,000 Catholic high school students for the annual Steubenville North Conference, August 1-3. This dynamic weekend conference, which brings teens closer to Christ through active immersion into the Catholic faith, will take place in Schoenecker Arena, Coughlan Field House and residence halls on the north campus. More information is available here.

Other groups previously mentioned that return this week for additional camps are the Universal Cheerleading Association and the Universal Dance Association through Tuesday, July 29, and the Thanh Pham Volleyball Clinic.
