The University of St. Thomas is one of 10 colleges and universities with stops along the College Art Gallery Collborative Fall Art Tour from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.
The annual tour is free and open to the public. As in years past, guests can hop on a free shuttle at any of the participating galleries. The two bus options include a west route that will travel between Augsburg College, the University of Minnesota Katherine E. Nash Gallery, St. Thomas, St. Catherine University, Bethel University and Northwestern College, and an east route that will travel between St. Thomas, St. Catherine University, Macalester College, Concordia University St. Paul, the College of Visual Arts and Hamline University.
In addition to taking the bus, participants are invited to enjoy the fall colors by utilizing bike routes between six of the galleries: St. Thomas, Augsburg, U of M, Hamline, Concordia and Macalester.
Matt Ghiloni with Bike Enthusiasts at St. Thomas (BEAST) will have 20 bikes with helmets and locks available outside O'Shaughnessy Educational Center near the O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library Center for students and families to borrow during the tour. Students need to present their ID cards, and their guests can be checked out on each student's card.
Other participating schools on the bike route are located near Nice Ride bike-sharing stations – visit the website for locations.
