CILCE Hosts two Open Houses to Launch Community Engagement Network

The Center for Intercultural Learning and Community Engagement will host open houses tomorrow and Wednesday to launch the Community Engagement Network (CEN).

CEN is a free Web-based tool that will help connect the St. Thomas community with opportunities to volunteer at local organizations. It matches UST students, faculty and staff with the various needs and interests of community organizations for mutually beneficial experiences. Students also can use CEN to record and track the hours they invest in service.

The open houses will be held in the first-floor atrium of Murray-Herrick Campus Center:

  • 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20
  • 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21

CILCE and the Office of Service-Learning encourage everyone to stop by for snacks and giveaways, and an opportunity to learn more about this new resource. Those who are unable to attend an open house can learn more about the network on the CEN website.
