The St. Thomas Music Department presents its annual Festival Orchestra concert at 8 p.m. today, March 8, in Brady Educational Center auditorium.
Dr. Matthew George, director of bands and chairman of the Music Department, directs the concert, which pairs St. Thomas music students with members of area professional orchestras.
The program includes Schubert's "Sonata Arpeggione," transcribed and performed by senior guitarist Leandra Hubka; Joaquin Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez," performed by junior guitarist Nick Kor; and the premiere of "Symphony in A," composed by senior Josh Bauder.
Admission to the concert is free, as is the cookies-and-punch reception to follow. Everyone's welcome!
