Full-time Flex MBA Students Win Awards at IBECC

A team of students from the Full-time Flex MBA program won three awards at the International Business Ethics Case Competition (IBECC) held April 20-22 in Cambridge, MA.

IBECC consists of three separate competitions: a full presentation followed by Q&A and feedback; a 10-minute presentation and a 90-second presentation. Teams are asked to present themselves as members of a corporation or a consulting company speaking to a business audience comprised of senior management and executives and must specify their “business identity” and that of their audience before they present.

The St. Thomas team, comprising Amiri Brotherson, Allison Cambronne, Keo Chang and Kaitlyn Guzik, won the 90-second competition in their graduate division for their presentation on the sharing economy. The team also took home runner-up awards in both the 10-minute presentation and full-length presentation.

The students were selected to compete at IBECC earlier this year through the CEBC Ethics Case Competition hosted by St. Jude Medical, University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business and the Center for Ethical Business Cultures.
