St. Thomas to host information session about graduate program in art history

The University of St. Thomas will hold an information session this month for prospective students about its Master of Arts in Art History program.

The session will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in the Luann Dummer Center for Women, located in Room 103 of O’Shaughnessy Educational Center on the university’s St. Paul campus.

Students from a variety of disciplines are invited to learn about the program’s faculty, students and alumni, degree and nondegree courses of study, admission and application requirements, fellowship and assistantship opportunities, course content and interdisciplinary opportunities for graduate art history students. The application deadline for summer and fall 2010 terms is March 1.

The 12-course M.A. program admitted its first students in 1998. The program provides professional preparation for academic, museum and teaching careers in art history.
