St. Thomas’ Great Books Reading Group will discuss A Shropshire Lad, by A.E. Housman, on Wednesday, Oct. 14. (Note: The group had planned to discuss Brian Gail's Fatherless next month, but the book is not available.)
The group will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. in Room 388, Owens Science Hall.
The Great Books Reading Group tentative schedule:
- Nov. 11: When Jesus Became God: The Struggle to Define Christianity During the Last Days of Rome, by Richard Rubenstein
- Dec. 9: Ishmael, by Daniel Quinn
- January: Darwin Loves You: Natural Selection and the Re-enchantment of the World, by George Levine
Everyone is welcome; refreshments will be served. The books are available in the University of St. Thomas Bookstore. Look for the Great Books poster near the customer service desk.
