A “Retreat in Daily Living: Following in the Footsteps of Jesus,” sponsored by the School of Law, will be held Tuesdays during Lent. The first session will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. tomorrow, March 8, in Room 242, at the School of Law.
The retreat offers an opportunity to experience the richness of the Lenten season, Holy Week and Easter Week. It will focus on personal prayer and the experience of God in prayer and daily life. Through prayer, retreat participants will seek to enter experientially into the mind and heart of Jesus in his passion, death and resurrection.
Retreat in Daily Living participants commit themselves to a half-hour of prayer each day and go about their daily lives as usual. Prayer material relating to the theme of the retreat is provided for each day. In addition to a daily period of personal prayer, participants will meet for an hour each week.
During this time they will share in small groups their experiences of prayer, and Professor Susan Stabile will offer input on prayer and some of the dynamics of this type of retreat experience. She also will provide prayer material for each day of the following week.
Each session of the retreat will run from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., and a light lunch will be served. This retreat is designed for those beginning to pray in a personal way as well as for those who have been praying for years.
Retreat sessions will be held Tuesdays in Room 242, School of Law:
