Students and faculty interested in starting a Native American focused organization are invited to meet Thursday, March 17. This planning session will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 260 (Fireside Room), Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
The organization will focus on helping Native American students in grade school and middle school to plan and implement a pathway to college. While any person of Native American background is encouraged to attend, non-Native American students and faculty also are welcome. Everyone involved will have the chance to help as well as learn about the Dakota and Anishinabe people who originally lived in this area of the country – and still do.
This preliminary meeting will help the group gauge interest and start planning.
