Kevin Seal, the University Chapel Organist at St. Thomas, will give a recital Friday on the 56-rank Gabriel Kney pipe organ.
"I'm pleased and excited to be giving a recital on such a wonderful instrument," Seal remarked. "I've always maintained that while there may be instruments that equal it in the area, none surpass its purity and beautiful tone."
Seal will play works by Byrd, de Grigny, Bach, Franck, Smyth, Bolcom and Litaize. The recital will begin at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas.
The recital is free and open to the public, and all are welcome.
