The University of St. Thomas women’s basketball team will "Get in the Pink Zone" at its game Saturday, Feb. 5, against St. Catherine University.
The game begins at 1 p.m. in Schoenecker Arena, Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex.
"The 'Pink Zone' initiative was created to raise breast cancer awareness, and to provide participants and fans a way to support this important cause," remarked Ruth Sinn, the team's head coach.
Breast cancer is the most common invasive cancer among women in the United States, accounting for nearly one out of every three cancers diagnosed. The Tommies encourage fans to wear pink and participate in the activities at the game.
Pink Zone T-shirts will be available for UST students while supplies last. The event is sponsored by the women’s basketball team.
