Professor Jerry Organ Receives Research Grant

The Access Group awarded a $67,000 grant to University of St. Thomas School of Law for professor Jerry Organ's research on variable affordability of law school on a net cost basis for different cohorts of students, with special attention to changes over time between 2010 and 2014. Professor Organ, associate director of the Holloran Center for Ethical Leadership in the Professions, is directing his research toward transparency in financial aspects of the decision to attend law school – addressing both scholarship programs for students and employment and salary data of graduates.

The Access Group Center for Research & Policy Analysis supports research and grant making that furthers access, affordability and the value of legal education. The Center is leading a focused and coordinated effort to enhance the availability of quality data and research that informs legal education leaders, scholars, policy makers and the public.
