Father Erich Rutten, director of Campus Ministry, will be available to bless throats in celebration of the feast of St. Blaise on Friday, Feb. 3. He will offer the blessing from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Campus Ministry, Room 207, Anderson Student Center.
According to legend, St. Blaise saved a young boy from choking on a fish bone. Since then, he has become an intercessor for protection against diseases of the throat and every other illness.
