English Professor Sets Imagination Adrift in Second Fantasy Novel
University NewsHeather Bouwman, Ph.D., an English professor at the University of St. Thomas, lives and breathes her belief that we never outgrow children’s literature. Her second novel, a historical fantasy adventure for children called <em>A Crack in the Sea</em>, was published in January. -

English Professor Takes Top Prize in Poetry Contest
University NewsAssistant professor of English Christopher Santiago won the 2016 Lindquist & Vennum Prize for Poetry. His book, <em>Tula,</em>, which focuses on his experience as the son of immigrants, will be published by Milkweed Editions in December. -
