Commemorate GI's WWII Homecoming at Victory Ball Saturday

Welcome home, GIs, and welcome one and all to the Victory Ball, sponsored by the UST Swing Dance Club, Saturday, May 12, in the Murray-Herrick Campus Center ballroom (304).

A swing dance lesson will be conducted from 7 to 8 p.m. followed by an open dance from 8 to 11 p.m. The lesson and dance are free and open to students, faculty, staff and the surrounding community.

The dance will commemorate the return of soldiers from World War II combat. Participants will swing dance to popular songs from that era and are encouraged but not required to dress in period attire (civilian or soldier). The dance includes a costume contest for fun prizes.

Because a portion of the first floor of Murray-Herrick Campus Center is under construction, attendees are encouraged to use the east door (by O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library) and take the stairs to the ballroom.
