12th annual Midwest Qualitative Research Conference April 20-21
The St. Thomas School of Education will host the 12th annual Midwest Qualitative Research Conference, "Qualitative Case Research: Traditions and Trends in Critical Analysis," April 20-21 on the Minneapolis campus.
The conference attracts practitioner-scholars and students from the Midwest and across the country to discuss the challenges and rewards of qualitative methodologies of all types. Qualitative research can be applied in studies of international issues and policy, K-12 and higher education, public policy; business, law and engineering; health care; and social, spiritual and ethical issues.
The conference's plenary session speaker on April 20 is Dr. Catherine Marshall, professor of educational leadership at the University of North Carolina and co-author of Culture and Education Policy in the American States and Designing Qualitative Research. She will discuss the contributions of qualitative methods to policy research.
