Public Safety Posts Alert Concerning Theft From a Person on Marshall Avenue

The University of St. Thomas Department of Public Safety posted an alert today, Wednesday, June 20, regarding a theft from a person that occurred outside of Izzy's Ice Cream, located at 2034 Marshall Ave., St. Paul.

A UST student reported an unidentified individual was standing outside of Izzy’s with an e-book reader. Two unidentified suspects approached the victim on foot and snatched the e-book reader from him. The St. Paul Police Department indicated that the victim attempted to stop the suspect who took the e-book reader. The second suspect then threatened to use force against the victim.

The suspects fled westbound on Marshall Avenue, then southbound on Cleveland Avenue. The UST student contacted Public Safety, and the victim contacted the St. Paul Police Department. The suspects could not be located when officers searched the area.
