Annual round-table on European Union planned here tomorrow
An annual round-table discussion on the European Union, this year titled “France's 'No' Vote: Whither the European Union and Trans-Atlantic Relations?” will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium at the University of St. Thomas.
Sponsored by St. Thomas and Alliance Française of Minneapolis and St. Paul, the event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
The round-table will feature a background presentation by Peter Coffey, a professor emeritus at St. Thomas and former holder of the university’s US West Chair in International Management. He is the author of some 30 books on economics and especially on the European Union and European currency.
Also participating in tomorrow’s round-table will be St. Thomas faculty members Dr. Heino Beckmann, finance; Dr. Daniel Fairchild, economics; and Dr. Robert Farlow, political science.
