Association for Strategic Planning breakfast talk is Oct. 28

Steve Coleman, a partner in The Platinum Group, a consulting firm, will speak at the Association for Strategic Planning fall 2008 breakfast series event Tuesday, Oct. 28, in Room 202, Opus Hall, Minneapolis campus.

His talk is titled "What's Next? Transition Planning for Business Leaders." Registration begins at 7 a.m., breakfast will be served at 7:15 a.m., and Coleman's talk will be given from 7:45 to 9 a.m.

This presentation asks: How do business leaders effectively plan their transition? It demonstrates encouragement and guidance for reluctant business leaders who are facing transition, discussing unique challenges and keys to success.

Coleman brings a sales and marketing perspective from more than 15 years in corporate experience and 25 years in consulting. Since 1982, he has served privately held business owners and leaders in addressing strategic planning, new business development and, increasingly, in helping owners find exit or transition options.

He uses market-based perspective as an adviser and coach directly involved with leaders and teams to set vision, clarify values, develop strategy, establish management-succession plans, enable owner exit and facilitate action plan implementation in organizations that want to grow and change.

The cost for the ASP breakfast discussion:

  • $25 – students and members
  • $35 – standard prepaid guest
  • $40 – guest rate at the door

The registration deadline is Friday, Oct. 24; call (952) 457-6396 or register online.
