The St. Thomas Women’s Studies program is sponsoring two breakfast talks this year, on March 15 and April 12. The talks will be held from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. in the Luann Dummer Center for Women, Room 103, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center.
On Tuesday, March 15, Dr. Debra Petersen of the Communication and Journalism and Women’s Studies departments will give a talk titled “First Lady Michelle Obama as a Lens into Race, Class and Gender in Contemporary U.S. Culture.”
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 12, as well. Dr. Elizabeth Wilkinson of the English and Women’s Studies departments will speak about “Native American Women and Transrhetorical Agency.”
