Campus Ministry Holding 'Holy Thomas' Icon Prayer Contest

Campus Ministry is looking for creative and prayerful students to compose a prayer to St. Thomas Aquinas, the patron of the university. Prayers should be inspired by the icon that hangs in the Campus Ministry office. One of the submissions will be selected to be printed on a prayer card with an image of the icon for distribution to the community.

The prayer should be concise (40 words or less), and should be addressed to “Holy Thomas,” asking for his intercession to bring those who say the prayer closer to God. Students are encouraged to include ideas prompted by the icon itself or some of the symbolism explained by the writer of the icon, Nicholas Markell.

The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. Friday, May 1.

Campus Ministry reserves the right to edit the prayer prior to publication.

Submissions and questions may be directed to Kellen O’Grady.
