Campus to Be Photographed With Unmanned Aerial System

The University of St. Thomas campuses are so beautiful in the fall. In an effort to capture this and to share it with others, Media Services and its vendor, PictureFactory, will be gathering aerial footage of the campuses over the next few weeks. They will be using Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) (i.e. drone) to gather the images.

UAS flights are subject to the rules and regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In accordance with FAA Rules, the UAS will not be flown over persons and the take-offs and landings will be in secure areas. It only will fly over St. Thomas property, its buildings or closed-off, unoccupied space. It will gather images of campus, including people on campus, during the filming.
