Career Development Center announces special seminars and events for March
Here is a list of career seminars and opportunities that will take place this month. For more information or to register for these seminars, visit the Career Development Center events Web site. Pathways to Communication
Meet with alumni from Minnesota Private Colleges and learn about professional opportunities in advertising and marketing, public relations, broadcast journalism, publishing and print journalism. Students can select from two of the four panel presentations to attend. To register, come to the Career Development Center, Room 350, Murray-Herrick Campus Center, prior to Monday, March 20. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis; space is limited. The $10 fee includes hors d’oeuvres and bus transportation to and from the event.

The Real World: Advice From Employers
Receive valuable advice from employers about the transition process out of college and into the professional world of work. Students also will have networking opportunities with employers. Hors d’oeuvres and dessert will be served. This event is free and open to UST undergraduate students. Major funding for this event is provided by Target Corp. Register early online at the Division of Student Affairs Seminars and Events Web page so that organizers will know how many people are coming and order enough food.

Major Field Day
Undecided about your major? Attend this event to explore services and resources available on campus to guide your decision-making process. Take an interest inventory, meet with a career counselor and an academic counselor, and use the Internet to research career options. Free refreshments will be provided.

Employment Agencies Fair on Monday, April 3
Looking for a summer job or internship? Or, are you graduating this May? This panel presentation and fair could help you in your job search. Come to all or part of this event.
- 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the auditorium, O’Shaughnessy Educational Center
Hear a panel discuss the services an employment agency offers college students. Learn how they can help find summer jobs, internships and full-time positions for you.
- 4:30-6 p.m. in Room 304, Murray-Herrick Campus Center
Attend the fair to visit with a wide variety of staffing agencies. Make personal contacts with organizations representing administrative, science, technical, finance and accounting, and general business fields.
