The Center for Ethical Business Cultures (CEBC) invites undergraduate business students to attend an Ethics Case Competitions information session from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, in Room 155, Murray-Herrick Campus Center.
Learn about two ethics case competitions:
- Center for Ethical Business Cultures’ Ethics Case Competition
- National Intercollegiate Business Ethics Case Competition (IBECC)
Faculty and previous student participants will be on hand to answer questions. The information session will include an overview of the competition as well as a presentation by last year’s winning team. The team placed first in the graduate division and was awarded “runner-up” recognition when the winners of the graduate, international, undergraduate north and undergraduate south divisions vied with each other in a cross-divisional “final four” competition at the national Intercollegiate Business Ethics Case Competition.
The competition provides an opportunity to enrich a student’s ethics experience – a UST trademark, strengthen business analytical skills, and build relationships with Twin Cities business executives and UST faculty.
Students must have taken Business Ethics 301 to be eligible to compete. Winners of the local CEBC competition will have the opportunity to represent St. Thomas at the national IBECC contest, which will be held in conjunction with the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association (ECOA) Sponsoring Partner Forum in spring 2013 in San Diego, Calif.
Registration for the information session is limited to the first 50 students. To register email the CEBC. Pizza will be served at the session.
