Center for Business Excellence announces programs starting in February, March
The Center for Business Excellence will offer several programs in February and March. A 33 percent discount is available to UST alumni, and a 75 percent discount is available to UST faculty and staff. Mini Master of Human Capital Management
Monday-Friday, Feb. 20-24
This program will provide line managers and human resources professionals with the most recent concepts and practices regarding the management of people. The breadth of this program will ensure that participants are familiar with the most state-of-the-art ideas and techniques for ensuring maximum employee capability and motivation for the organization.

Getting Started: Basics and Beyond of Starting a Nonprofit
Mondays, Feb. 6 to March 13
Whether you already have incorporated or are still in the preliminary planning stages, Getting Started will provide a framework for your early consideration in starting a nonprofit organization. Assess the viability and feasibility of your concept and address the advantages and disadvantages of nonprofit corporations. Prepare a feasibility analysis for your future plans, develop an action plan and receive resource materials to help you get started.

FastTrac New Venture
Thursdays, Feb. 16 to April 27
FastTrac New Venture enables the aspiring and start-up entrepreneur to effectively evaluate and develop their business concept, marketing opportunities and the profitability potential of their new venture. Program participants write a business plan.

FastTrac Growth Venture
Mondays, Feb. 27 to May 8
The FastTrac Growth Venture program ensures that you will receive the educational tools you need to succeed in your entrepreneurial business. Experts from the field (people who have started and grown their own businesses) teach these programs and provide you with comprehensive textbooks and helpful software and support.

Leading from the Middle, two four-day modules
Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 22-25, and Wednesday-Saturday, April 26-29
This program is designed for the middle manager role and addresses the nuances and challenges faced in this position – from strategy implementation to performance management. Learn to work cross functionally and communicate more effectively to achieve organizational goals.
