Center for Nonprofit Management hosts NGO leaders from Asia, Middle East

St. Thomas’ Center for Nonprofit Management in the Opus College of Business will meet with a delegation of 12 visitors from Asia and the Middle East who are leaders in nongovernmental organizations.

The visitors will discuss leadership and NGO management with center director Ann Johnson on Monday, July 12. They were invited to the United States by the International Visitor Leadership Program.

The International Visitor Leadership Program is a national initiative facilitated in Minnesota by the Minnesota International Center. Visitors are invited by the U.S. Department of State to visit this country for approximately three weeks to meet with their professional counterparts and experience American culture on a people-to-people basis. They typically travel to five U.S. cities. They will spend three days in Minnesota, meeting with a variety of organizations and individuals.

The Center for Nonprofit Management has hosted previous delegations of international visitors, including groups of NGO leaders from Kazakhstan, Turkey and China.
